Week 40: "Die Dreaming" and Hawaiian Dancing

7/30/18

Hey guys another week here in sunny Madrid. Things are going really well here. Right now I'm on a bus to Madrid. We're having an MTC p-day and a bunch of people from our MTC group are going bowling and stuff.

My companion and I are working with several people. Our friend Lucho likes to have us over and drink "morir soñando," which means "die dreaming." It's a drink with some secret ingredients like oranges and lejía or something? We've also got Sebastián and Manoli who are an older couple who are working towards baptism. We've got some other people as well but things are always crazy in the summer when everyone is gone for vacation.

We also teach English class every Wednesday and Thursday. A few people come often who are actually trying to learn English, so it's good to see them progress.

This week we had a combined activity with Mostoles, and the missionaries over there from our district. It was a Hawaiian barbecue  and it turned out great. A ton of people showed up, and there was a ton of Hawaiian food and Hawaiian music and Hawaiian people probably, idk. The sisters volunteered us to do a Hawaiian dance as well, so that was really bad and the only way you can see the video is if it leaks on the internet because I deleted every copy I could get my hands on. It was a great opportunity for a lot of people to make a lot of friends and learn a little bit more about the church.
