Week 69: Beautiful Spain

Hello my people. It's been a whole 2 weeks I think! Where to start.

Well it's been an adventurous past couple of weeks. We've been doing a lot of finding. Sometimes we go and look for less active members in their apartments. We knock on the front door, and one by one several windows open on each floor and people poke their heads out and ask what we want. We say, the gospel. They say, ok.

We've also done a couple "pancartas", which I had never done before. We set up our little poster thing in the busy part of town, and talk to people about our sign. The first time we got people to write the most important thing for them on the poster. The second time we got people to throw darts at balloons. But there was a surprise, we put secret questions in the balloons that people had to answer.

Pancarta!
We're still teaching our friends Armando and Angel, and slowly finding some more people.
Last week we went to a castle for pday. It was a pretty good one with lots of big walls and towers and knights and swords.

Everything the light touches is yours.
We had Zone Conference this week, and Elder Johnson from the Seventy (church leader) came and talked to us. He's a funny guy. He was giving us some broad answers to some questions and let us know that he was a "general authority, not a specific authority". He talked about his mission in Norway a long time ago and how it was the most beautiful place in the world to him. And President Bussey talked about how Spain was the most beautiful place in the world for him. Why was their mission the most beautiful place in the world for them? Because it's where they came to the knowledge of their Redeemer. In Mosiah 18 it says: "the place of Mormon, the waters of Mormon, the forest of Mormon, how beautiful are they to the eyes of them who there came to the knowledge of their Redeemer; yea, and how blessed are they, for they shall sing to his praise forever." We love the place in which we came to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, just like the people of Alma in this time. That's why Elder Johnson feels that way about his mission, me about my mission, and everyone else about their mission. And everyone else should feel that way about the location where they came to the knowledge of Jesus.
Go Texas!

Today we are going to the Mezquita of Córdoba, its pretty old, I'll take some pics for you.
