Week 56: Good thing we knew the key word...
Hola mi gente todo va bien en la vaina.
It's been some interesting few days:
--We found a man on the street named Franklin, and he cut our hair.
--They gave us a new stove so now we can cook food in less than an hour (any new food recommendations would be appreciated).
--We talked to our mission president.
--We ate some American food with an American.
We had the baptism of 2 girls from Brazil! Their mom is becoming active in the church again. We taught the girls so that their grandpa could come from Brazil to baptize them! So he came and did the baptism. He only spoke Portugués and expected us to understand him. So he would walk up and start talking to us, and surprisingly we could understand some.
One night Pablo and Cristian showed up at the doorstep of the Church. They had just moved from El Salvador and were looking for a church.. You came to the right place. We have been able to teach them and they have progressed and they are scheduled to be baptized soon.
Also, we had a surprise tour of the national police headquarters on accident. We received a reference from some other elders. We contact the reference and this man named Rafa told us to meet him at his work. We showed up and found out that it was a big police/fireman base. We walked in and thought they were gonna interrogate us or something. But we said the key word "Rafa" and we were ok. Rafa came down and took us in and we talked and then was like "hey you want a tour??" We were like yeah that sounds pretty good, so he took us around and showed us firetrucks and undercover cop cars. Also I think we might have met the head security boss of all of Spain. Anyways we're totally chill with the cops here now and can do whatever we want. Just say the keyword.
We had zone conference, and ate some barbecue sandwiches there, Also talked about some good stuff, like baptism. Why is baptism important? Well, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." There's some important things. The authority. Why'd Jesus go all the way to John the Baptist to get baptized? He had the authority. Why did he do it in the River Jordan? So he could be submerged. Baptism is one of the most important things we can do on this earth so it's important that we do it right. It's the doorway that leads us back to our Heavenly Father, and we know because He told us.
