Week 59: An especially festive 21st birthday
Hello my people.
News from the past few weeks:
--We ate chestnuts that were roasted on an open fire, they taste like chicken.
--We also ate Venezuelan hamburgers that taste like hamburgers.
--Light the World started, which is a campaign thing where you do service. There's a different theme each week to help light the world in different ways, and share the Christmas spirit. https://www.mormon.org/christmas/light-the-world
This week Elder Grondel and I dressed up as Santa and an elf and went Christmas caroling with some friends. While we sung songs we also took pictures with people and handed out candy and cards.
The costume was pretty intense, but you know what they say. Go big or go to casa. I threw away my man card years ago anyway, so it was chill. Literally very cold. But afterwards they got me good with a surprise birthday party! It was especially festive because I was still an elf. We ate cake, anddd there's not much else we could do so we ate more cake.
We went to Toledo again last pday, and looked at some more swords. They never disappoint. We also went to a witchcraft museum. Pretty spooky, did you know that one in every 5 people is a witch? Haha just kidding. It's one in every 4.
This whole transfer, we had been preparing for me to leave at the end. I've already been here for 5 months, and there was no way I was staying. But guess what?? I'm staying. Also staying with my same comp another transfer, so that'll be almost 5 months together, and almost 7 months in Alcorcón. Anyways, things are good and it's colder.
